Life Center Services
Participants needing housing are referred to local agencies which provide permanent, emergency, transitional and/or supportive housing services. LRM supports the "Housing First" model and works diligently to assist participants in obtaining safe, affordable housing for themselves and their families. Through partnerships with other local non-profit, social service and faith-based agencies, LRM has been able to assist many with getting the help they need.
Summer Music Enrichment Program (SMEP)
The primary goal of the Summer Music Enrichment Program is to help student participants grow in their knowledge and appreciation of music and enhance the community's awareness of opportunities and rewards of music education.
Our CPR certification prepares you to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. It also teaches the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The class can teach Adult CPR/AED, Child CPR/AED, and/or Infant CPR/AED (any combination of the three).
PMKids Youth Mentoring
This program will include a mixture of in-person, virtual or contactless experiences. This will include. Program recorded video segments. Community Service – Ronald McDonald House, cards for Seniors, food donations to needy families. Fun activities such as nature hikes, scavenger hunts, bowling, etc. Classes will be the 2nd and 4th Thursday each month from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
"...In reality, a mother's love is important and special, but having an active father figure plays an equally important role in the healthy development of a child." DADpals hosts meet and greets where people fill out questionnaires, play games and get matched. At that point, a dad chooses a pal. From there, DADpals hosts a commitment ceremony and other events for participants to enjoy as a new match. There will be game nights, social events, etc. to facilitate healthy and constructive opportunities for our matches to bond.
Tai Chi Wellness Classes for Seniors
Calling all senior citizens (ages 55 & up)! Elder Options welcomes seniors to attend a free "Tai Chi Class" at the Life Center on Thursdays 1:00pm-2:00pm. This is a 8-week wellness program. Also, we will offer a "Matter of Balance Class" on Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30pm-3:30pm. A "Diabetes Education Class" will be offered in August as well. This will be a 6-week class 10:00am-12:00noon. All participants will receive a free cookbook! Seniors, sign up early because all classes are limited to 10 participants. Masks and social distancing are required.
